The People’s Committee Chair of Khanh Hoa, Nguyen Tan Tuan, has approved a new development plan for Cam Ranh City up to 2045.
Cam Ranh is set to become a hub for economy, culture, education, science, technology, tourism, and logistics in the southern region of Khanh Hoa. The city will focus on transportation through road, railway, waterway, and airway connections. Additionally, plans include the development of theme parks, a golf course, and ecological parks, as well as integration with Cam Lam Airport area.
By 2045, Cam Ranh City is projected to spread across 33,708 hectares with an estimated population of 820,000. The urban area is expected to allocate 14,659.55 hectares for construction, averaging 124.5 sq m per resident.
The approved development plan outlines nine urban subdivisions for Cam Ranh. These zones include areas for public administration, commercial and service centers, tourism, logistics, agriculture, industrial zones, and national defense and security.
Cam Ranh, located in Khanh Hoa province, plays a vital role in the region’s economic landscape. In the first half of 2024, the city recorded a commendable GRDP growth rate of 12.73%.
