About a 5.5-hour drive from Hanoi, a stunning beach in Ha Tinh Province captivates visitors with its unspoiled beauty, crystalline waters, extensive white sandy shores, and scenic rock formations.
Ky Xuan Beach stretches roughly 13 kilometers in a crescent shape across three villages: Thang Loi, Nguyen Hue, and Xuan Phu, within the Ky Xuan Commune of Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh.
Situated nearly 45 kilometers from Ha Tinh City, this beach remains basked in its natural allure, featuring clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, lush casuarina trees, and distant rolling mountains.
One of Ky Xuan’s standout features is its tranquility. Even during peak seasons and public holidays, tourists can enjoy a relaxed, crowd-free experience as this area is not yet heavily commercialized.
Consequently, Ky Xuan is affectionately termed “the sleeping paradise” or “the green gem of Ha Tinh.”

During the April 30th holiday, Quang Hai, a local who now resides in Hanoi, revisited Ky Xuan Beach. He remarked, “I spent my summers here as a child. As an adult, I still find this beach stunning—clear waters, clean shores, and a calming ambiance. It gets a bit more vibrant during holidays.”

The beach, accompanied by lush greens, provides a perfect space for camping and group activities. Early birds can take a stroll at dawn and witness local fishermen returning with their fresh catches.
Aside from the beach itself, Ky Xuan features two natural attractions: Cu Ky Beach and En Island, located about five nautical miles away.
Travelers can follow a picturesque coastal route including Thien Cam Beach and Cam Linh Beach in Cam Xuyen District before reaching Ky Xuan.
Cam Linh Beach, stretching approximately 4 kilometers, offers a serene, romantic atmosphere with a blend of sea and forest, clear waters, and striking natural rock formations.

Ky Xuan is renowned for its fresh seafood, featuring delicacies such as squid, grouper, pen shell meat, and blood cockles. In early summer, rock crabs become available—fatty and fragrant creatures found among coastal rocks.
Fishermen dive to capture them, and the simplest yet tastiest way to prepare them is to steam the entire crab with beer.

The ideal time to visit Ky Xuan Beach is from May to September, when the weather is typically sunny and dry. By late August or early September, though, visitors should be aware of the potential for heavy rains and storms, so checking the weather forecast beforehand is advisable.

Recently, Ky Anh District has made efforts to improve access to Ky Xuan Beach, fostering tourism and encouraging the development of services and resorts.
While there are several dining options nearby, modern accommodation still remains somewhat limited. Those planning longer visits should consider booking their stays in advance.
