After the V-League season ended, Cong An Hanoi (Hanoi Police – CAHN) FC bid farewell to players Ho Tan Tai and Bui Tien Dung. The club expressed gratitude for their contributions and allowed them to seek new challenges elsewhere, while keeping the door open for their potential return.
Ho Tan Tai, who joined CAHN FC last season from Binh Dinh FC, played a key role in their championship victory, scoring 4 goals in 24 appearances. Meanwhile, Tien Dung impressed in his 21 matches for CAHN.
As replacements, CAHN signed Brazilian forward Alan Sebasao Alexandre on a two-year deal, while Tan Tai moved to Binh Duong on a three-year contract.
In other news, Ho Van Cuong has returned to Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) FC after his loan spell with CAHN last season. SLNA has also made roster changes and called back loaned young players from various regions in preparation for future competitions.
SLNA has secured the services of forward Olaha but released Van Lam, Van Viet, and Sy Hoang as free agents due to contract expiry.
On the coaching front, Thanh Hoa Club extended head coach Velizar Popov’s contract for two years, gearing up for a packed tournament schedule in the upcoming season. Binh Duong appointed Hoang Anh Tuan as head coach after his tenure with the national youth teams.
At Hanoi FC, head coach Daiki Iwamasa left the club to return to Japan post concluding the 2023/24 National Cup final. The club is now in search of a new Japanese coach to take charge.
Anticipate exciting transfers as the 2024/25 V-League season nears. The upcoming season, scheduled by the Vietnam Professional Football (VPF), is slated to commence in mid-September 2024 and span ten months till June 2025.
Prior to the V-League 2024/25 season kickoff, the 2024 National Super Cup match will feature V-League 2023/24 champions Nam Dinh facing off against National Cup champions Thanh Hoa.
