A couple on a documented journey with 60,000 followers traveled through different countries, including South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
During their recent trip to Vietnam, Jayesh and Karolina explored various popular tourist spots, amazed by the diverse and delectable Vietnamese cuisine. Among these culinary experiences, the unique Ninh Binh bun cha quat (grilled square pork patties with noodles) stood out.
Discovering this special dish at a local eatery in Ninh Binh City, Jayesh and Karolina were impressed by the quality and popularity of the bun cha quat among locals and tourists.
This renowned dish in Ninh Binh is made with minced pork mixed to perfection with a balance of lean meat and fat, shaped into large square patties, and grilled over charcoal, resulting in juicy and flavorful patties with a charred exterior.
The couple ordered and enjoyed two servings of bun cha quat, noticing the difference in size and presentation compared to the version they had tried in Hanoi. In Ninh Binh, the patties are larger and square, served with rice vermicelli sheets and accompanied by a flavorful dipping sauce infused with vinegar, garlic, and chili.
Praising the harmonious flavors and tender texture of the pork patties, Jayesh described the dish as fantastic, with the meat melting in the mouth and the seasoning perfectly balanced.
Karolina appreciated the fresh herbs that enhanced the dish, stating that the bun cha quat in Ninh Binh was slightly different but equally delicious compared to the one in Hanoi.
Impressed by the quality and taste, the couple declared it the best bun cha they had ever eaten and indulged in an extra serving of the square patties, finding the overall cost of 85,000 VND for their meal reasonable and reflective of the dish’s high quality.
Aside from savoring the culinary delights, Jayesh and Karolina explored other attractions in Ninh Binh such as Mua Cave, Tam Coc – Bich Dong, and Hoa Lu Ancient Town, engaging in activities like cycling, boating on Ky Lan Lake, and enjoying local delicacies like pho, coffee, and coconut water.
