Minh Hoang, who recently became engaged to beauty queen Phuong Nhi, is emerging as a progressive leader at Vingroup, focusing on green energy and sustainable tech innovations.
Born in 2000, Minh Hoang kept a low profile for most of his life, similar to his brother Pham Nhat Quan Anh. However, he began capturing the spotlight in late 2024 due to several high-profile appearances.
His first major public moment was at a music festival at Vinhomes Grand Park in Ho Chi Minh City, where he gained significant attention on social media. Soon after, he and his brother were seen dining with Nvidia’s Chairman, Jensen Huang, at a popular restaurant in Hanoi, which heightened public interest.
That evening, he also attended the VinFuture Global Science and Technology Awards in Hanoi alongside his father, Pham Nhat Vuong, the wealthiest individual in Vietnam, furthering his visibility.
In November 2024, Minh Hoang prominently welcomed Bulgarian President Rumen Radev to the VinFast factory in Hai Phong, showcasing his increasing influence within Vingroup.
Previously, Minh Hoang was the Global Marketing Director for VinFast, where he spearheaded international campaigns to elevate the brand’s electric vehicles in significant markets.
In November 2024, he took on the role of CEO at For Green Future (FGF), a subsidiary of Vingroup dedicated to improving access to electric vehicles. FGF also offers self-driving electric vehicle rentals in line with Vietnam’s green initiatives, boasting a capital of VND 200 billion ($8.3 million) as part of the firm’s commitment to the nation’s Net Zero 2050 targets.
Minh Hoang also co-founded VinRobotics with his father and brother later in 2024, a substantial project valued at VND 1,000 billion ($41.7 million) that specializes in robotics and AI for industrial and commercial automation.
Furthermore, he plays a vital role in VinVentures, a tech investment fund worth $150 million aimed at nurturing high-tech startups and sustainability efforts.
At just 24 years old, Minh Hoang is pivotal in advancing Vingroup’s mission in green energy and innovative technologies. His professional responsibilities underline his significance in shaping the company’s future, while his engagement to Phuong Nhi adds a personal touch to his public image.
