The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued a directive from Chairman Tran Sy Thanh highlighting the importance of expediting major transportation initiatives.
In reference to the Tran Hung Dao Bridge project alongside its northern access road, the city leader tasked the Long Bien District People’s Committee with collaborating with the Department of Finance to secure funding for land acquisition, compensation, and support for necessary infrastructure development.
The district must also partner with the Departments of Planning and Architecture, Agriculture, and Environment to undertake the required processes for land reclamation and transfer to the appropriate agencies.
Concerning the timeline and groundbreaking phases, the chairman directed the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to review and refresh the project schedule.
The Department of Construction is required to report back to the city’s People’s Committee with realistic proposals, ensuring that the groundbreaking ceremony coincides with the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
As for the evaluation and approval of the feasibility study for Phase 2 of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh instructed relevant departments to deliver swift assessments. The Department of Construction should complete its review and present it to the People’s Committee by June 13, 2025.
The city leader also emphasized that all participating units must use a “green channel” approach to ensure tasks are completed quickly and efficiently, avoiding any obstacles.
Furthermore, the board is tasked with accelerating the preparation, appraisal, and approval processes for Phase 2 to ensure it aligns smoothly with the main structure of Phase 3.
The district-level People’s Committees of Gia Lam and Thanh Tri have been directed to hasten the review and approval processes for land clearance in their respective areas.
