A survey for the World’s Best Awards 2024 conducted by Travel + Leisure involved over 186,000 of its readers who rated hotels, resorts, cruises, and cities.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Capella Hanoi made the prestigious list with a high score of 96.6, praised for offering distinct culinary and cultural experiences.

These hotels, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Capella Hanoi, have garnered numerous accolades from prominent global travel awards and are favored choices for many notable visitors to Vietnam.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stayed at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi during his state visit in June, while Apple CEO Tim Cook opted for this hotel during his visit to Hanoi in April.

Previous notable guests at the hotel have included former US President George W. Bush, former French President Francois Hollande, former Swiss President, and former US President Donald Trump.

Hoi An was also recognized by Travel + Leisure readers as one of the world’s top five cities in 2024, securing the 4th position among the 25 best cities globally with a score of 90.67. It ranked 3rd in the list of the 25 most popular cities in Asia.

Three Vietnamese representatives, Alma Cam Ranh, New World Phu Quoc, and Hyatt Regency Danang, featured in the top five resorts in Southeast Asia category, with Alma achieving a score of 99.2, while the Phu Quoc and Danang representatives ranked 4th and 5th, respectively.
