Korean Tourists Discover Da Nang’s Best Pho
Recently, two tourists from Korea, Sso and Sam, traveled to Da Nang and immersed themselves in the local food scene, with pho becoming their top pick.
“I came to Vietnam just for this dish,” Sso mentioned on her YouTube channel.
During their explorations, they frequented various pho eateries, ultimately finding their favorite on Dong Da Street in Hai Chau district.
They stumbled upon this pho spot while searching for restaurants on Google Maps. Known for its Northern-style pho, this establishment has been popular among locals and tourists alike for years.
Sso appreciated the restaurant’s menu, which featured Korean translations, making it accessible for international diners. She also noted the speedy service.
At the restaurant, Sso opted for a standard pho bowl containing three types of beef—rare, brisket, and flank—for 55,000 VND, while Sam chose the special version, which included poached eggs and pork sausage, costing 65,000 VND.
Despite ordering the regular pho, Sso was thrilled with the ample portion size, filled with noodles and beef. The broth received high praise for its rich flavor.
She was especially impressed by the restaurant’s signature spicy sauce, which she enjoyed dipping her beef into.
“The sauce adds a fiery kick and significantly enhances the pho’s flavor. It’s like tasting two unique dishes at once,” she expressed.
The spicy sauce played a crucial role in why they enjoyed the restaurant so much.
Sam also shared how he likes to enjoy pho by adding hot bean sprouts, lime juice, and spicy sauce to his bowl.
“The broth strikes the perfect balance; it’s not too salty, and the beef is seasoned just right. I especially love the generous green onion topping,” Sam remarked.
The couple was so enamored with this pho restaurant that they visited multiple times during their trip, and their opinion remained consistently positive.
From their experience, they concluded that this was the best pho restaurant they had tried in Da Nang.
