During a recent session, the National Assembly made significant leadership changes by approving three new Deputy Prime Ministers.
The selection process involved a secret ballot among Assembly members who later discussed and voted on the Prime Minister’s nominations. The three newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers, namely Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc, and Bui Thanh Son, unanimously received approval from the 432 delegates present.
The current government leadership under Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh now includes the newly appointed Deputy Prime Ministers alongside Tran Hong Ha and Le Thanh Long.
Nguyen Hoa Binh, born on May 4, 1958, has a background in law enforcement and judicial administration, holding a Ph.D. in Law. He previously served as the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court before his recent appointment.
Ho Duc Phoc, born on November 1, 1963, has a Ph.D. in Economics and has held various leadership roles within Nghe An Province, including the position of Minister of Finance since April 2021.
Bui Thanh Son, born on October 16, 1962, has a Master’s degree in International Relations and a successful career in diplomacy. He took over as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in April 2021 after serving in several diplomatic capacities.
