Vietnam Innovation Day 2024: A Celebration of Innovation
Scheduled for October 1-2, 2024, Vietnam Innovation Day will take place at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park in Hanoi. This two-day gathering aims to unite and celebrate the contributors to Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem, with a significant involvement from the National Innovation Center (NIC), which operates under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Alongside the Vietnam Innovation Day event, the Ministry will also host a ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of the National Innovation Center. Esteemed leaders from the government, various agencies, international organizations, and both local and global technology companies are expected to attend.
The NIC was founded on October 2, 2019, through a government decree, with the purpose of nurturing and enhancing the Vietnamese innovation landscape, facilitating a shift towards a growth model driven by science and technological advancement.
In its five years of operation, the NIC has proven instrumental in developing a robust domestic innovation ecosystem.
Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 is projected to draw approximately 20,000 attendees. A highlight of the event will be a speech from Mr. Nick Clegg, Chairman of Global Affairs at Meta, who will outline Meta’s long-term plans for investment in Vietnam. Other major industry players, such as Qualcomm and NVIDIA, are also expected to participate.
Attendees can look forward to exhibitions showcasing innovative products, services, and technologies across various sectors, including AI, semiconductors, and sustainable energy solutions like batteries and electric vehicles.
The event will also host conferences and panel discussions led by prominent speakers from both local and international arenas, focusing on contemporary technological advancements, especially in AI and semiconductors. This setting will offer vital networking and collaboration opportunities for startups, businesses, and investors.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, the Director of the NIC, the event aims to highlight Vietnam’s ambition for innovation and illustrate the government’s dedicated support for fostering a culture of innovation.
Vietnam Innovation Day 2024 will position Vietnam as a key player in the regional innovation landscape.
