From goats taking over to Disney’s tribute to health workers, these are the things that made us smile today.

Welcome to #NotBadNews, our new (and hopefully short-lived) daily column where we round up the good, surprising, and weird things that have happened around the world during this coronavirus pandemic.

A Very Canadian Hand-Off

Postmates is looking a little different in the North. When this family ordered their poutine to go, they were met with an inventive, and incredibly Canadian hand-off.

This is social distancing at its finest (and most hilarious).

Celebrity Bingo

Is there anything we love more than a good game night? Perhaps the only thing better is one led by actor Matthew McConaughey. This senior living home got the ultimate surprise when tuning in for their virtual Bingo night, with the actor and his family joining in on the fun.

Virtual Bingo with Matthew McConaughey!

Ever play virtual bingo with #MatthewMcConaughey? You’d be a whole lot cooler if you did! The residents at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living got to play virtual bingo with #MatthewMcConaughey and his family! Thank you to Matthew, his wife Camila, and his mom Kay for hosting our residents for a few rounds of virtual bingo! Our residents had a great time playing, and they loved talking with Matthew about his family heritage and his favorite drink.

The Surprising Places Nature Is Returning

We have seen the Earth starting to heal a little: the water in Venice is once again clear and Los Angeles’ air quality has never been better. While these things might not be all that shocking given that humans are currently indoors, some things have been a bit more surprising: take for instance, these elk that found a new home in a Colorado high school’s football field.

While the elk huddled on the football field, sheep in Wales found entertainment at a children’s playground.

If you’ve ever wondered what sheep on a roundabout looked like, we’ve got the video for you.

This video is like something out of Shaun the Sheep–let’s hope the farmer doesn’t see.

And in the Windy City, an unexpected shopper is taking Michigan Avenue. With Chicago on lock-down, this coyote got to enjoy the otherwise bustling city.

The Kid Addicted to Giving

You heard that right, six-year-old Cavanaugh Bell just can’t seem to stop giving back. Just a month ago he started his own charity, now he has taken it upon himself to find a new way to help his community daily.

Bell is an inspiration! If his actions have you looking for ways to give back in your community, consider checking in on neighbors unable to do their own shopping, giving masks you might have to local hospitals, or donating to local charities and homeless shelters working to ensure those in your community remain safe, sheltered, and cared for during this time.

When the Visitors Are Gone, These Pandas Play

After years of attempting to get the two pandas at Hong Kong’s zoo to mate (to no success), the animals finally took it upon themselves. With the visitors gone, they utilized their moment of quiet to do what scientists had been working toward for years: mate.

Perhaps this is a lesson in letting nature do its thing or giving zoo animals a few no-visitor days now and then; either way we congratulate the zoo, Ying Yang, and Lee Lee, and look forward (potentially) to adorable new panda babies!

How Disney Pays Tribute to Health Workers

While the company and parks make sure to pay tribute to healthcare workers annually, this year they are going above and beyond for our first responders. In parks all over the world, medical workers are being thanked, either by lighting Cinderella’s castle up blue or writing out “Merci” in the flowers.

Let’s follow in their footsteps and make sure to say our own thanks today (and every day)!

Check-in every day for an update on the wonderful and weird things happening in our current coronavirus world.
