Ky Duyen’s journey to the title hasn’t been effortless. She previously dealt with backlash for issues such as smoking and using laughing gas, which prompted her to publicly apologize and commit to her personal development. Her romantic life also attracted significant public scrutiny leading up to the competition.
The newly crowned queen, hailing from Nam Dinh and born in 1996, stands at 1.76 meters tall with a toned physique and measurements of 86-60-94 cm. She has since become a recognizable figure in brand promotions and fashion shows.
At just 18, Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Vietnam in 2014. After a decade in the entertainment industry, she has made a noteworthy comeback to pageantry, garnering tremendous fan support as she transitions into a business career.
During the finale, when asked if beauty pageants serve only as entertainment and whether a winner can truly represent all women, Ky Duyen replied that while one person’s beauty may not represent all, their story can inspire many. She shared her decade-long efforts to improve herself to represent Vietnam on the global stage, emphasizing that striving for excellence contributes to national progress.
Throughout the competition, Ky Duyen showcased consistent performance, reaching the top five in categories like Best in Swimsuit and Evening Gown, as well as winning the ‘Most Popular Contestant’ award.
Despite her accomplishments, Ky Duyen faced criticism during the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 broadcasts for her performance, where some felt she exhibited uncertainty and knowledge gaps. She even admitted to not finishing a book, preferring visual and auditory learning methods.

Talking about her decision to enter Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, Ky Duyen expressed that an inner urge drove her to compete again, marking ten years since her last participation, with aspirations to represent Vietnam internationally.

Ky Duyen began learning French in fourth grade and attended a specialized French class in both middle and high school.
After being crowned Miss Vietnam 2014, Ky Duyen attended Foreign Trade University but shifted to part-time studies in International Economics, from which she has not yet graduated.
She was invited to participate in the Miss Earth competition in 2016 but chose to decline the opportunity. Since early 2017, her fashion career has flourished, gaining wide recognition.
Today, she enjoys a prosperous lifestyle thanks to her career trajectory.
Coming from a non-professional modeling background, Ky Duyen is highly regarded for her poise and has been chosen by numerous designers to perform as a lead model.
Her participation in the reality show Celebrities Join the Army in early 2020 endeared her further to the audience.
Ky Duyen’s family runs a wedding dress business, and her brother works in information technology.
While she enjoys sharing aspects of her work and personal life, Ky Duyen maintains a level of privacy concerning her romantic relationships. In a recent interview, she remarked, “I prefer to keep my love life private but I can say that I’m happy.”
