The visit of the USS Blue Ridge and USCGC Waesche is part of the U.S. Navy’s efforts to maintain the strong strategic partnership between the United States and Vietnam. The aim is to foster peace, cooperation, and sustainable development. The crews will partake in cultural exchanges, art performances, and visits to social support centers and Khanh Hoa University.
The USS Blue Ridge is the flagship of the U.S. 7th Fleet, stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, and serves as a critical command and control vessel in the U.S. Navy.
The USCGC Waesche is known for its extensive operational range and ability to sustain prolonged operations at sea, along with being equipped with various weapon systems.
