After finishing university, Huyen, born in 1997, moved from her hometown in Tra Vinh to HCM City for work. However, she later realized city life was not for her.
She returned to her hometown and got a job at a company with a good income to cover her living expenses. Being close to her parents and having a stable job made her happy.
During the pandemic, when she was off work, she discovered a love for watching short videos on social media.
Recognizing the appeal of short videos showcasing hometowns for those living far away, she started her own TikTok channel focusing on her homeland.
Huyen’s videos feature delicious fruits, traditional dishes, and the landscapes of the Mekong Delta, gaining popularity among viewers interested in hometown content.
By 2021, with a growing TikTok following, she decided to leave her job and dedicate herself to content creation.
Although her parents initially opposed her decision, Huyen persisted and worked hard to build her channel.
Through producing high-quality videos, she quickly found success and remained committed to her work.
Huyen acknowledges the crucial support of her family, including her parents, relatives, and husband, in her achievements.
Today, Huyen manages the Huyen Phi TikTok channel with 2 million followers and 68 million likes.
In 2023, she was invited to the Bac Giang provincial OCOP Fair Program as a prominent content creator to promote local lychees on TikTok.
She leveraged her platform to live stream and sell agricultural goods, telling stories of farmers’ hard work and highlighting the quality of their produce.
In addition to the lychee livestream, Huyen has conducted streams promoting various farm products in different regions of Vietnam.
By collaborating with local vendors, she helps sell a range of products, emphasizing the importance of supporting farmers.
Her goal is for consumers to appreciate the efforts of farmers in producing high-quality, clean goods.
Huyen finds fulfillment in helping farmers expand their market reach and improve sales through her TikTok promotions.
With her success, she fulfilled her parents’ dream by building a spacious house for them after years of living in cramped conditions.
Now focused on creating more opportunities for her community, Huyen aims to develop new products and generate employment in her hometown.
