The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has created a task force to ensure the effective execution of the National Assembly’s resolution concerning the investment policy for the North-South high-speed railway initiative.
This task force will be headed by Minister Tran Hong Minh, with Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy as the deputy leader.
The main focus of this task force includes guiding various agencies in following through on Resolution No. 172/2024/QH15 from the 15th National Assembly about the investment policy related to the North-South high-speed railway project.
They will also implement special guidelines as authorized by the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister to further the project.
Moreover, the task force will facilitate collaboration between the MOT and other relevant ministries, sectors, and regions to tackle essential challenges that may arise during the project’s development.
They will communicate any difficulties or issues encountered in the process to the appropriate entities and suggest solutions to resolve them promptly.
To assist the task force, the MOT has set up four additional working groups that will concentrate on:
– Executing the project.
– Developing training and human resources.
– Promoting industrial growth and technology transfer.
– Advancing science and technology, along with formulating the necessary standards and regulations for the project.
The establishment of this task force and its supporting groups highlights the government’s dedication to successfully implementing the North-South high-speed railway, a crucial infrastructure endeavor for the future progress of Vietnam.
