Initially, Vo Minh Thoai, a model, was named as Vietnam’s contestant for Mister Tourism World 2025. However, the organizing committee later decided to replace Thoai, citing concerns about limited experience and inadequate preparation for such a prestigious competition.
They opted for Hung Nguyen, recognizing his extensive performance background and greater readiness to represent Vietnam effectively.
With a height of 1.88m and weighing 75kg, Hung is devoting himself to rigorous training to improve his physical condition, stage presence, and communication effectiveness, aiming to leave a remarkable impression at the pageant.
A platform for cultural and tourism promotion
Mister Tourism World began in the Philippines in 2016, designed as an annual event for men who promote sustainable tourism, environmental responsibility, and cultural appreciation.
Vietnam has previously fielded four representatives in this competition: Pham Xuan Hien, Tran Manh Kien, Phung Phuoc Thinh, and Nguyen Quoc Tri. The 2025 edition marks the first time Vietnam will host this significant event, which is also expected to boost the nation’s tourism sector.
The grand final is planned for Vinh Hy Bay in Ninh Thuan on February 18, 2025, and will feature contestants involved in cultural exchanges, tourism initiatives, and community volunteering leading up to the main event.
