In the second-leg semifinal at Viet Tri Stadium, the Vietnamese national football team triumphed over their opponents, finishing the match with a score of 3-1.
Xuan Son kicked off the scoring with a penalty just before halftime and added another goal in the 62nd minute.
The Brazilian-born player had the opportunity for a hat trick but opted to let Tien Linh take a penalty in the last moments of the game.
This decision mirrored his actions in the first leg in Singapore, where he also allowed Tien Linh to take a penalty rather than scoring himself.

From Vietnam, Tien Linh has also scored three goals and contributed one assist, while Quang Hai has managed two goals and two assists.
With two matches remaining for Vietnam, Xuan Son is well-positioned to vie for the Golden Boot in the ASEAN Cup 2024.
