This surge in water has led to widespread flooding across the city, isolating several neighborhoods and submerging many homes.
Currently, numerous areas in Yen Bai City are facing severe flooding, with levels exceeding past records. The Red River has overflowed, covering roads and jeopardizing essential infrastructure.
The Yen Bai Bridge, an important transportation link, is closed to traffic due to the rising floodwaters, making it dangerous for travel.
In the Hong Ha ward, waters have reached alarming levels, completely flooding numerous homes up to the rooftops. Additionally, the provincial stadium in Yen Bai is filled with floodwater, rendering it entirely underwater.
Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, a key route, has been under water since the evening of September 8th, preventing passage. Emergency responders have been deployed to assist residents in evacuating, utilizing rescue vehicles to move people and their possessions to safer areas.
The situation remains dire as local emergency teams strive to provide support and reduce further damage amid the ongoing flood emergency.
