Ten generals from the Nigerian Army have officially retired after completing their required years of service. The group consists of six Major-Generals and four Brigadier-Generals from the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC).
The retired officers are Major-General Nsor Okpa Ojiji, Major-General MH Magaji, Major-General GB Audu, Major-General M Danmadami, Major-General JG Mohammed, Major-General UI Mohammed, Brigadier-General A. Israel, Brigadier-General BA Mohammed, Brigadier-General D. Abdulsalam, and Brigadier-General SP Akpan.
Major-General Ojiji, speaking on behalf of the retirees, expressed satisfaction at completing their service and acknowledged the Army leadership’s support. He also highlighted the challenges within the NAAC and called for improvements in facilities and equipment to enhance performance.
Major General Mohammed Ahmed, the commandant of the Armoured Corps, congratulated the retired officers, encouraged them to offer guidance for the Corps’ improvement, and emphasized the Army’s commitment to service and maintenance of equipment.
