Tragic Incident In Lagos Involving a 17-Year-Old Boy
A 17-year-old boy tragically lost his life due to electrocution while assisting his step-father at a construction site in Lagos.
The incident was reported to the Agbado Police Division by the boy’s mother on August 2nd at 1:00 p.m.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the boy’s mother received a call from her brother informing her about the accident around 12:30 p.m. on the same day.
The boy, who accompanied his step-father, a welder, to work on a scaffolding at a construction site on Church Street, Alagbado, accidentally stepped on a live wire connected carelessly from an electric pole, resulting in his immediate death.
He was quickly taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
The police visited the scene with a detective team, where they found no signs of physical harm on the boy’s body.
The step-father was taken into custody for interrogation as the investigation into the incident continues.
