Demola Olarenwaju, the Special Assistant for Digital Media Strategy to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has voiced his disapproval of the media for amplifying their difficulties, particularly regarding the narrative around the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) as the emerging opposition coalition.

In a tweet from Saturday on his X account, he expressed disbelief at the extensive coverage asserting that the ADC is the selected platform for the opposition ahead of the upcoming 2027 elections.

“Nigerian media often adds to our challenges. A group is currently in the midst of registering a political party, like many others in Nigeria, but they need to align this with the coalition efforts.

He emphasized that the coalition has yet to endorse ADA, stating that the public will be updated about the proper choices and decisions made by the coalition pertaining to ADA.

“ADA has not been embraced by the coalition, and at the right moment, the public will receive information about the suitable selections and resolutions. Please remain patient,” he stated.

It’s important to note that the Nigeria National Coalition Group (NCG) has officially approached the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the registration of a new party – All Democratic Alliance, ADA.

This has led to speculations that notable figures such as Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufa’i, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and others may embrace ADA as their vehicle for the 2027 electoral race.
