All citizens and residents of Botswana are granted an afternoon off on Friday, August 9, 2024, to celebrate Tebogo’s remarkable victory in the men’s 200m event at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics.
Letisile Tebogo made history by clinching the gold medal in the men’s 200m race, not only becoming the first Motswana but also the first African to achieve this prestigious accolade, bringing immense pride and joy to Botswana.
