BTS took part in another virtual broadcast

In March 2020, BTS appeared in a virtual broadcast of a special episode of The Late Late Show Starring James Corden called “Homefest.” The primetime episode of the show featured performances from artists around the world, and it also encouraged viewers to donate to two different charities, Feed the Children and The CDC Foundation.

Before performing during “Homefest,” the members of BTS shared words of encouragement to their fans.

“We’re so grateful we can connect with you from here. It may seem like we’re isolated but we’re still connected through our shared experiences, courage, and laughter,” RM said.

On the special episode of The Late Late Show, BTS performed their 2019 hit “Boy With Luv.” The song was the lead single from their EP Map of the Soul: Persona and was also featured on their album Map of the Soul: 7.

The group will release a new album soon

BTS released their most recent album, Map of the Soul: 7, in February 2020. On March 17, RM held a YouTube Live to talk to fans. During the livestream, he revealed that the BTS members are in the process of making another album.

“As many of you probably expected, our album is going to come out. We’ve decided to prepare for a new album, so we’ve started preparations… We’ve kicked it off,” RM told fans. “We’ll be sharing the process of preparing and stuff, which is a first… But we’ll be trying to show you some of the processes that we go through together, from now on… The album will come out, but since we only just kicked off, we don’t know what songs we will sing, what the title song will be, what kind of music we’ll talk about.”

A few days later on April 24, Suga held a YouTube Live and shared more details about what fans can expect from BTS’s upcoming album.

“Yes, well, right now we’re starting to work again on the album. We started by deciding on the leaders. General manager… Visual general manager? Music general manager? We split it up this way…,” he said. “Today we discussed among ourselves and made decisions. Related videos will be out soon, so stay tuned!”
