Last year brought gamers a few massive video game titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Death Stranding. Now, ComingSoon.net is looking ahead to some of the biggest titles releasing in 2020 and we’ve gathered 10 of the most anticipated games we’re looking forward to in the new year. Final Fantasy VII Remake

In 2015 it was announced that the remake of 1997’s classic (and arguably best installment in the franchise besides Final Fantasy XFinal Fantasy VII was in development with original artist Tetsuya Nomura working as the director. The remake is expected to retell the story of the original game following fan-favorite Cloud Strife. Square Enix’s RPG will release on PlayStation 4 on March 3.

DOOM Eternal

Fans have had to anxiously wait for the DOOM sequel after the game was pushed back from its original November release date, but something tells us the title will be more than worth the wait. As the DOOM Slayer, you’ll return to take your vengeance against the forces of Hell. Set to an all-new pulse-pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon, you’ll fight across dimensions as you slay new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities. DOOM Eternal will launch on March 20 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.

Resident Evil 3 Remake

The producers of Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 remake have confirmed that their work on the game “is about 90%” completed and believe “there will be no delay.” The remake is said to be “even more of a remix of the original” than the Resident Evil 2 remake was, including making the cast of the game “more compelling.” The title will also include Project Resistance, a terrifying single-player campaign and one-versus-four online multiplayer. In the remake, players will escape the ruination of Raccoon City as Jill Valentine in the reimagination of the survival horror classic. The title is expected to be released on April 3 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Our most highly-anticipated game of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the fictional world of Night City, California in the year 2077. The world is broken while MegaCorps manage every aspect of life from the top floors of their sky-scraping fortresses. The streets are run by drug-pushing gangs, tech hustlers, and illegal braindance slingers. The in-between is where decadence, sex, and pop culture mix with violent crime, extreme poverty, and the unattainable promise of the American Dream. CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG, featuring the one and only Keanu Reeves, will include multiplayer action sometime after the game’s launch on April 16 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Marvel’s Avengers

Square Enix’s action-adventure game begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco, including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. The Avengers disband, and five years later, with all superheroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble. Gamers will live their superhero dreams within the cinematic storytelling and ever-expanding universe with single-player and co-operative gameplay. The game will release on May 15 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The sequel to 2015’s Dying Light is a survival horror action RPG from Square Enix. It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus. The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age. You play Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor with exceptional agility and brutal combat skills. Players will make tough decisions and hard sacrifices as you decide the fate of a society on the brink of collapse. The effect of the choices you make will have a huge impact on entire regions of the city. You can play the entire campaign in a single-player or up to four-player co-op. The game will release in Spring 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Halo Infinite

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
