The Ogun State Police have reported a worrying increase in missing persons cases affecting people of all ages.
According to CSP Omolola Odutola, the number of these missing individuals who are successfully found is quite small, and a large portion sadly does not return.
She emphasized, “As a proactive force that engages with the community, we aim to enhance public awareness regarding this urgent issue and urge everyone to stay vigilant for their own safety to prevent victimization.”
“The Commissioner of Police has highlighted essential guidelines to educate Ogun State residents on these critical concerns.
“Following insights from individuals who have been safely located, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, PhD, advises parents to avoid using unknown commercial transport services for their children.
“Moreover, young individuals are encouraged to utilize digital communication tools on their phones when traveling, particularly if they find themselves in distressing situations.”
“It is important for the public to know that they can reach the control room at 09164859299, and the Police Public Relations Department at 09159578888. The Command is also present on various social media platforms: Twitter: @OgunPoliceNG; Instagram: @Ogunpolice_ng; Facebook: @ogunstatepolicecommand,” she stated.
