Senator Shehu Sani’s Provocative Question
Senator Shehu Sani, who previously served as a lawmaker in Nigeria, posed a thought-provoking question on social media.
He raised the issue of why the public criticizes the President for seeking loans, yet seldom holds accountable the legislators who actually approve them.
In a post on his Facebook account, Sani remarked, “You criticize the President for asking for a loan, but you hesitate to call out your Senators and Representatives for greenlighting it.”
He continued to express his curiosity about why people refrain from naming their lawmakers, questioning whether it stems from a fear of violent reprisals or their supporters on social media.
