The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended at least four individuals suspected of armed robbery and has retrieved a stolen vehicle.
According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, three of the suspects—Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja—were taken into custody by police from the Mararaba ‘A’ Division, while another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was arrested in New Karu.
During the initial operation, authorities found a makeshift rifle, a knife, and various criminal items. The police also recovered a blue Toyota Camry linked to Abubakar from his residence.
The spokesperson indicated that the suspects admitted to being part of a gang responsible for various armed robberies in the Mararaba region.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, urged the vehicle’s owner to visit the New Karu Area Command with verification documents to reclaim the recovered car.
