Court Rejects Request for PDP Governors’ Forum’s Chairman to Convene NEC Meeting

Justice Salim Ibrahim has postponed the case’s hearings until October 25, denying the recent request.

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Governor Bala Mohammed, sought a Federal High Court’s permission in Zamfara to convene a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting. This request arose amidst rising internal conflicts within the party.

However, Justice Salim Ibrahim rejected the plea and set a new hearing date for October 25.

This decision intensifies the existing factional struggles within the PDP, reflecting ongoing challenges related to leadership and organizational conflicts.
