VDM has informed his followers about the situation, stating that the police are engaged and one suspect has already been captured in Jos, Plateau state.
He mentioned that he was en route to Jos with a police officer to further address the issue. Currently, only N20 million remains in his NGO’s account.
“Honestly, I’ve been very unsettled for several days. N180 million has disappeared after someone hacked our NGO website.
“Fortunately, we’ve identified the hacker, and we’re on our way to Jos. One person has been arrested, and the account is now on PND (Post No Debit). We’re left with N20 million,” he stated.
VDM also indicated that he had to suspend the NGO’s app for necessary updates to prevent any additional breaches and promised to keep his supporters informed as the situation evolves.
It’s worth noting that just a day after he established the Martins Vincent Otse Initiative on October 14, 2024, he garnered N33 million in donations from generous individuals. Notably, music executive Don Jazzy contributed an impressive N100 million to support VDM’s organization.
