Davido Responds to Spyro’s Claims Against Ubi Franklin
Nigerian music star Davido has shared his thoughts on accusations made by fellow artist Spyro against Ubi Franklin, a name associated with him.
In a recent interview, Spyro alleged that Franklin misled him into performing at a birthday celebration in Ghana, falsely suggesting it was requested by Davido.
According to Spyro, Franklin did not compensate him, despite an agreement for a payment of $5,000 for the performance.
In response, Franklin stated that he had not paid Spyro because the artist owed him money related to a prior deal.
Franklin mentioned that he was supposed to receive a 10 percent cut for helping Spyro buy a car, and he indicated that the withheld payment was part of that deal, noting that Spyro still owes him N2 million.
This back-and-forth stirred various reactions online, and Davido found himself wrapped up in the controversy.
In light of the situation, Davido expressed regret about being linked to the dispute. He shared a video of Franklin’s response on his Instastory, captioning it with an apology: “Pls, I’m sorry.”
