The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has reported that its office in Abuja is currently under the control of the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a message posted on their X account, SERAP conveyed that DSS agents are requesting to meet with the organization’s leadership.
The group is calling on President Bola Tinubu to promptly instruct the DSS to cease their actions, which they characterize as intimidation and harassment, and to protect their directors from threats of arrest.
“Agents from Nigeria’s State Security Service are unlawfully present in SERAP’s office, seeking our directors. It is essential for President Tinubu to act quickly in instructing the SSS to stop this harassment and protect the rights of Nigerians.”
