Rhodes-Vivour Denies Switch to APC
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who ran as the Labour Party’s governorship candidate in 2023, has dismissed allegations that he intends to leave the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post on his X account this Wednesday, Rhodes-Vivour refuted the rumors, asserting they are untrue.
He criticized the APC, labeling it a collection of unprincipled individuals, and stated that the idea of joining them has never crossed his mind.
Rhodes-Vivour indicated that he differs from those who protest against authorities yet accept positions within their ranks afterwards.
He emphasized that aligning with the APC is out of the question, as he believes it’s vital for some to challenge the government and hold them accountable.
In his video message, he stated, “The circulating news about my potential switch to the APC is incorrect. There’s no reason for me to join a group of the wicked or mingle with clowns.”
“I will continue supporting the people who deserve better than the past 24 years of APC governance,” he affirmed.
