Godswill Akpabio’s Perspective on the Dispute Between Wike and Ireti Kinigbe

Akpabio Weighs In On Wike And Ireti Kinigbe Feud

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has shared his views on the conflict between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike and Senator Ireti Kinigbe.

Akpabio advised Wike to stay focused and not let himself be affected by the senator’s actions.

During the launch of the construction of the Kugbo Bus Terminal in Nyanya, Abuja, Akpabio reminded Wike that not everyone will appreciate his efforts no matter what he does.

Speaking at the event, Akpabio highlighted the importance of ignoring distractions and recognizing that criticism is inevitable in public service.

The Senate President commended Wike for his initiatives in enhancing transportation infrastructure, reviving neglected roads, and establishing modern facilities.

He emphasized that the Kugbo Bus Terminal project aims to enhance mobility, ease traffic congestion, and enhance the well-being of residents and visitors.

Expressing his gratitude, Wike thanked Akpabio for inaugurating the project and acknowledged the backing of the Senate and House Committees on FCT and Area Council in securing financing through the 2024 Appropriation Act.

Wike stressed that the government’s initiatives are geared towards benefiting all citizens, not just the privileged few.

He highlighted the significance of the bus terminal in providing reliable transportation services, particularly during adverse weather conditions, reducing risks associated with using unauthorized vehicles, and ensuring safe travel for commuters.
