A male passenger on the flight lost control and had to be subdued by others after he broke a window on the aircraft.
The disturbance started shortly after takeoff, as reported by passenger Victoria Clark to Storyful. She mentioned that the man reacted aggressively when another passenger requested a seat change, yelling and kicking her seat.
“Then he immediately stood up and started punching the window and kicking at it. When people tried to stop him, he started waving his bloody knuckles around,” Clark recounted.
“He continued to strike the window until a man restrained him by twisting his arm. He managed to crack the window before anyone could stop him.”
Clark captured the incident on video, showing passengers using zip ties and shoelaces to secure the unruly man in the aisle.
“He was very physical,” Tanner Phillips, a passenger who intervened, told ABC13 Houston. “I picked him up and took him to the ground. It took several guys to get his arms secured.”
The damaged window did not affect the aircraft’s safety, and it landed in Houston at approximately 11:10 p.m., as confirmed by FlightAware.
Authorities were notified about a “combative” passenger and were present when the flight landed, according to a spokesperson for the Houston Police Department.
Officers spoke with the man, and Frontier Airlines decided not to file any charges.
The investigation is ongoing, with the FBI involved as stated by the Houston Police Department.
