A Zimbabwean man named Forward Mumango has taken legal steps to remove his wife, Primrose Mumango, and their children from their home so he can make room for his new girlfriend.
As reported by H-Metro, Mumango was granted a protection order by Magistrate Meenal Narotam at the Harare Civil Court, preventing his wife and kids from returning to the property.
Mumango claims that his family’s hostility towards his new partner and their refusal to accept her led to his decision to seek an eviction.
“My family is not accepting my new wife and has been very disrespectful towards her,” Mumango stated during the court proceedings. “They’re creating a hostile environment, and I want them to leave so I can have peace with my new wife.”
The situation became tense when the couple’s daughter, Tofara, reacted emotionally to the court’s ruling. She expressed her anguish and accused her father of neglecting his family.
“How could he betray my mother like this? This is all because of his girlfriend; he doesn’t care about us and is punishing us for not accepting her,” Tofara lamented, prompting court officials to intervene as her distress escalated. Primrose, visibly heartbroken, described her husband’s actions as an act of betrayal.
“He has lost his sense of reason and is being manipulated. I can’t believe he would seek a protection order against me and want to evict our children,” she said.
The incident has raised significant attention on social media, with many people expressing their support for the affected family and criticizing Mumango’s behavior.
