Fire Breaks Out at Kano Textile Market

A significant fire incident occurred at the well-known Kantin Kwari textile market in Kano around midnight on Sunday.

This fire resulted in the destruction of about ten shops located in one of the market’s sections.

Investigations suggest that the blaze started in a building on Gidan Inuwa Mai Bayajidda Street, which contains more than a hundred shops, completely destroying all textile goods within the ten affected shops. The financial toll from this disaster is estimated to be in the millions of naira.

According to reports from eyewitness accounts shared by Channels Television, efforts were made by those present to control the fire and secure some items before firefighters arrived.
