The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has assured applicants that the revised exam dates will not overlap with the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC).

This announcement came in response to concerns raised by some examinees.

JAMB stated on its X handle, “We are coordinating efforts with WAEC to ensure there are no conflicts in exam schedules.”

The board rescheduled the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 379,999 candidates across five South-East states and Lagos due to technical difficulties encountered during the exam, which resulted in errors in the results.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, mentioned that affected candidates would receive SMS notifications by Thursday to enable them to reprint their slips for the new dates on Friday and Saturday.

According to Daily Trust, some candidates who received notifications from JAMB expressed excitement about the opportunity to retake the exam, while others from the northern regions voiced their dissatisfaction over being excluded, as they also faced technical issues.
