Logic Says Drake Is the ‘Big Brother’ He Never Had

Fresh off the launch of his newest mixtape Bobby Tarantino II, Logic reveals that his love for Drake runs deep.

“Drake doesn’t realize, in many ways, he was like the big brother I never had,” the Maryland MC informed Beats 1. “He set the example and paved the way for me to be myself. Now, whether I’m at the Grammys or whether I’m here or there, or whatever, he’ll show me love…People don’t realize what that’s like, what that means.”

He went on to say that he appreciates phrases of encouragement from the OVO boss who he seems to be as much as. “The love and respect of somebody that inspired you to that degree is just really insane,” he added.

The Maryland rapper has celebrated Drizzy in the previous. Last yr, he went on a Twitter spree in honor of the 6 God. “I just wanna take a moment and say how much I respect and fuck with @Drake he has opened the door for so many artists myself included,” he wrote. “A lot of people are scared to show love to one another. Or only do so if one person is putting the other on. A lot of people are just plain Out bitch made when it comes to showing love and respect. And drake has inspired me to be myself regardless of other who may come at you.”

In one other snippet of the upcoming Beats 1 interview, Logic seems to clarify the free idea behind Bobby Tarantino II. “Everybody knows I can rap. Everybody knows that I have something to say,” he explains. “But now, it’s like, let’s just turn up.”

Featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and himself as Young Sinatra, Bobby Tarantino II is out now. The full Beats 1 sit-down with host Zane Lowe is slated to air Monday on Beats 1.
