Police in Abuja have arrested a man who tried to attack protesters using a knife.
The arrest took place near the National Stadium in Abuja as the #EndBadGovernance protesters began their demonstration today.
The man, wearing a wine and white T-shirt, appeared frightened as the police questioned him about the weapon.
Surrounded by a furious crowd, the man was taken into custody.
Authorities also used teargas canisters to disperse the protesters in Abuja.
