Man Arrested with AK-47 Rifle in Bauchi: A Closer Look at the Arrested 54-Year-Old
A man identified as Jinta Sati Dan-Anacha, aged 54, was apprehended by the Bauchi State Police Command in collaboration with a security agency for possessing a fabricated AK-47 rifle hidden in a bag. The suspect, who claimed to have ties to a church in Jos, was reportedly en route to deliver the weapon to an individual in Gombe State. The arrest was made during a routine check along the Jos-Bauchi road by a sister security agency on August 19, 2024.
The Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, emphasized the commitment of the command under the leadership of CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, to combat criminal activities and safeguard communities. The suspect, residing in Anguwan Bauchi in Jos, Plateau State, alleges to have served with the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) mission for over three decades, but is currently under investigation to uncover further details about his motives and possible affiliations.
