Mandy Moore Reveals Release Date for New Album, ‘Silver Landings’, on Instagram

Mandy Moore is making her return to music.

The 35-year-old actress and singer who currently plays Rebecca Pearson on NBC’s award-winning series, This Is Us, announced the release date of her first studio album in a decade with an Instagram post on Jan. 14, 2020.

‘Silver Landings’ will be available March 6, 2020

Out March 6, 2020, Moore’s album Silver Landings is comprised of 10 tracks (listed below), according to Billboard. The songstress is set to embark on a North American tour following the album’s release beginning on March 20, 2020, in Pittsburgh, Pa. — coincidence or a nod to This Is Us, perhaps?  — and will wrap up the tour with a performance in Denver, Colo., on May 9, 2020.

Silver Landings tracklist:

  1. “I’d Rather Lose”
  2. “Save A Little For Yourself”
  3. “Fifteen”
  4. “Tryin’ My Best Los Angeles”
  5. “Easy Target”
  6. “When I Wasn’t Watching”
  7. “Forgiveness”
  8. “Stories Reminding Myself Of Me”
  9. “If That’s What It Takes”
  10. “Silver Landings”

The title track of Silver Landings, according to a release from Verve Forecast via Billboard, had been the final song written for the album. Although it came last, the song proved to be all-encompassing of the last 10 years of Moore’s life.

It “became emblematic of the journey she’s been through in the past decade, what it took to get to the point of re-embracing this part of her life, and the expectations therein,” the release read.

Moore on music: It ‘makes me feel like a more complete version of myself’

In the Instagram post, Moore not only shared the release date of her forthcoming album Silver Landings, but she also opened up about what her return to music means to her.

“it feels so good to be stepping assuredly into this next chapter of my life as a woman and performer, with an album of songs I couldn’t be more thrilled with or ready to share,” she began the post.

She continued, saying, “Having music back in my life makes me feel like a more complete version of myself, in ways I wasn’t even expecting. The experience of writing, recording (and soon to be touring) it with some of the people I love the most in the world is an experience I will treasure forever.”

She dropped another new song from album

Teasing her album for almost a year, Moore’s already released three singles from Silver Landings. In Sept. 2019 she unveiled “When I Wasn’t Watching” and on Nov. 1, 2019, she came out with “I’d Rather Lose.” Along with her Instagram announcement on Jan. 14, 2020, she dropped another song, “Save A Little For Yourself” with an accompanying music video.
