Renowned Nigerian artist Jude Abaga, known as M.I, has shared his disappointment regarding his past support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The rapper noted that the APC does not align with his ideals.
It’s worth mentioning that he backed the APC back in 2015 when they replaced the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
He confessed that the APC has not met his expectations, stating it doesn’t represent the party he envisioned.
During a recent episode of the Menism podcast, M.I remarked, “I tweeted about the incidents [involving herdsmen] in Benue, and many responded, ‘But M.I, you were an APC supporter.’
“Indeed, I supported the APC because I believed the PDP was excessively corrupt at that time. I was among those advocating for change to promote democracy.”
“As a person, no matter how hard you strive to make the right choices, there will be times when you miss the mark. Unfortunately, the current APC isn’t what I aspired for.”
He mentioned that his priority now is to leverage his skills and influence to work with young people towards creating a better future for the nation.
