Mocheddah Shares Nostalgic Memories of Studio Sessions with Wizkid

Former rapper Mocheddah reminisced about her early days in the music industry, particularly her time spent in the studio with Wizkid.

During a recent episode of the TeamwithTaypod podcast, she fondly recalled her experiences working alongside prominent Nigerian artists, including Wizkid and Ice Prince.

Mocheddah started visiting music studios at just 14 years old, often going with Wizkid to the studios located in Ojuelegba.

She mentioned that she learned a lot from established musicians and producers, notably the late OJB Jezreel.

Initially, her parents had concerns about her interest in music, but they eventually came around to support her dreams.

Her mother would accompany her to the studio, enforcing a curfew for her safety.

She shared:

“I became a studio rat at 14. Wizkid and I would go to studios in Ojuelegba together. We’d watch and learn from veteran musicians and producers. My mom would take me to studios and I had a curfew. Eventually, I grew close to Wizkid and Ice Prince, and we would just observe and draw inspiration.”
