MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, CMT, and VH1 have teamed up with Ad Council for the campaign that was put together to promote safety and unity. The goal is to utilize the social and talent-led campaign in order to educate audiences on the importance of social distancing and driving unity through entertainment. This includes “a focus on mental health” being a “vital part of the effort, underscoring that social distancing does not mean social isolation.”
Some of the celebrities taking part in the #AloneTogether campaign include people from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Schitt’s Creek, Jersey Shore Vacation, and Black Ink Crew. Late-night hosts Trevor Noah and David Spade are also featured.
