Naija: Senate Suspends Legislative Activities Over Death Of Reps Member

The Senate decided to halt its legislative activities on Wednesday to pay respects to Hon Olaide Adewale Akinremi, the representative of Ibadan North Federal Constituency in Oyo state.

Akinremi passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after a short illness as confirmed by the House of Representatives’ spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi.

During the Senate’s plenary session, Akinremi’s death was announced, and a minute of silence was observed in his memory.

Following this, the Senate suspended all plenary sessions and legislative work for the day as per its regulations.
