Polygamy as a Solution to “Sidechikism” and Early Prostitution
A Nigerian individual, John Paul Ugwu, expressed the idea that religions discouraging polygamy inadvertently promote “sidechikism” and early prostitution.
Ugwu believes that the prevalence of extramarital relationships will persist until polygamy becomes widely accepted across Africa.
“Religions that frown upon polygamy are contributing to the rise of ‘sidechiks’ and early prostitution among girls in Africa. Embracing polygamy fully is the key to reducing this phenomenon,” he highlighted in a statement on Thursday, July 18.
