Authorities in Kaduna State successfully freed 13 individuals from a human trafficking scheme and took three suspects into custody.
According to Adejobi’s statement, the police intercepted the victims during a vehicle stop on January 31, en route to Oyo State.
“I.G.P.’s directive was followed as part of the 2025 Police action plan. On the evening of January 31, three suspects—Samson Peter, 25, Haruna Duniya, 45, and Abdulazaq Olawole, 58—were apprehended, all involved in trafficking the victims in an unmarked vehicle.
The victims were safely rescued, and further investigations are ongoing.
Inspecor-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., praised the police operatives for their outstanding service and commitment to their duties.
He urged all officers to remain vigilant and assured the public of the Police Force’s dedication to combating security issues effectively.”
