Osita Chidoka, who previously served as Minister of Aviation, has officially stepped down from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his resignation note, Chidoka expressed his appreciation for the party, stating that he intends to focus on his dedication to national unity and ethical public service.
Chidoka plans to devote his efforts to his NGO, the Athena Centre, which is aimed at improving public policy and leadership in Nigeria.
The resignation letter stated, “As I transition away from active party politics, I remain devoted to good governance and truthful public service. I look forward to the time when I can actively engage in shaping the political environment, aligned with my core values.
“I leave the PDP holding great respect and appreciation, wishing it success in its efforts to become a positive force for change in Nigeria.
“I close with my enduring belief: our goal of creating a nation free from oppression will come to fruition sooner rather than later. I remain optimistic about a resurgence.
“A Nigeria that embodies the spirit of unity—a place where ethnicity and religion do not hinder our common goals for a prosperous nation.
“Thank you for your support and understanding throughout my journey with the party and its members.”
