A group of demonstrators in Katsina State took to the streets to participate in the nationwide protests against food scarcity in the country.
Mainly comprised of young individuals, the protesters were seen marching through the streets while carrying Russian flags.
Reports from Daily Trust stated that on Monday morning, August 5, the protesters were waving Russian flags and shouting in the Hausa language, “Hunger is causing our deaths.”
Law enforcement officers began to follow them closely, using teargas to disband the crowd, as noted in the publication.
