Ruling Prohibits APC from Conducting Congresses in Rivers State

Court Stops APC From Holding Congresses In Rivers (via Primetweets)
An order issued by a High Court in Rivers State has halted the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership from organizing the planned Ward, Local Government, and State Congresses. The congresses were initially scheduled for October 11, 16, and 26, 2024.

This legal action was taken by Peter Ohochukwu and Haija Ndidi-Chukwuma, representing themselves and all elected executive members of the APC in Rivers State. The defendants in the case include the APC, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Further developments on this matter are pending.
